Internship

    I had a three month internship the summer of 2006 at KMTR News Source 16, it is a local NBC affiliate. worked closely with reporters and news staff on story idea creation research, creation and editing. I also had experience in the control booth and operated the teleprompter for two news broadcasts. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was sad to leave. 

     I enjoyed the internship so much that it was hard for me to leave. I loved coming up with and researching story ideas as well as the excitement of chasing down the story and putting it on the air just in the knick of time.
    It seemed like the summer had just flown by and I couldn’t think of a better place to start my career in production. My long time goal is to slowly work up to an international correspondent and I especially hope to expose America to more of the issues in Africa.
    After I graduate I plan to find a job in news production and eventually would like to be a videographer for a international branch.
